Hey all. Well we are officially in nomads land...... We finally finished cleaning the house ( major job) and handed the keys over. We are all very very tired after a massive few weeks but now we can hopefully rest for a little while and get ourselves into a routine ( which is easier said than done....) The first night we were in the camper was saturday and saw us freezing and a little old fan heater blaring...... Then night two the fan heater blew up just as I had bought a new heater, but didnt think that it worked as it kept setting off the knock over switch as the ground was too souft we worked out finally... PHEW!! Temps have been in the 6 to 10 degree range at night but inside the camper we are toasty warm and having a fun time working out the routine that is best.. Takes more time to do everything normal and you have to plan ahead: that is a pain....... It is weird to sit in a caravan park while Andrew goes off to work as normal, but i guess that is something else we will adjust to. It has been fun meeting lots of lovely people at the caravan park and the boys really enjoy the novelty of the showers. I am asking for any one pot recipes that I could use in the camper so if you have any good ones let me know, and I am thinking of buying a DREAM POT thermal cooker.... So will let you know how that goes....
We have the lights set up properly in the camper and dont have to rely on the gas lantern anymore.. LED's are great fun and I have a very clever hubby who wired it all up himself.....
We are surviving ok here other than the initial shock of no tv and no wii or ps, ds's and dvds are getting a fair work out but on the bright side we have a beach right at our back door we get to listen to all night, a park that is new and exciting a block away and we get to live a diifferent way as an adventure....
